10 Problems that Every College Student Experiences While Using Uber

What does every student spend the most money on when he or she is away at college? Some say on food, some say on nights out... but the answer for the vast majority of college students would be on Uber rides. Especially if you go to school in or near a city, Uber can be your lifeline to get from one place to another. And the charges from these trips can add up pretty quickly. While getting personally chauffeured around to the destination of your choice can seem pretty nice, everyone has experienced the same following problems when using this revered service.

1. When you try to be ~sneaky~ and smuggle that extra fifth person in the Uber when the car only fits four. And then the driver crushes your dreams by telling you that he/she sees what you're trying to do... and won't allow it.

2. When the Uber doesn't have an aux cord and you're forced to resort to singing whatever top-10 song is on the radio for the duration of the ride. Which obviously isn't as good as the throwbacks that you and your friends would inevitably play instead.

3. When you go to order an Uber XL and accidentally order an Uber Black. And then you have to casually think of a way to bring up to your parents why there's a random $50 charge on your credit card bill when you were in the car for a total of 2 miles last night.

4. When the driver makes you throw out whatever food/drink you're carrying before you get in the vehicle. Which means you have approximately 6 seconds to chug your drink/stuff your face before taking a seat. Challenge accepted.

5. When the driver brings you to your destination in the most roundabout way possible and the trip ends being unnecessarily expensive for no good reason at all. And the only way you can console yourself is by giving them the lowest driver rating possible. Justice has been served.

6. When the surge is absurdly high. Can someone explain why there's a 2.2x surge at 11 am on a Tuesday morning?? Am I not the only one Ubering to Starbucks at this time?? Anyone??? Bueller??

7. When the driver makes it painfully obvious that he/she doesn't approve of the way you and your friends belt out songs together. The front-seat passenger will receive the judgmental, side-eye glance from the driver, signaling to please shut up. But honestly, it's the driver's loss for not wanting to join in on the sing-along.

8. When the driver keeps canceling on you because you're nowhere to be found. But in reality, the Uber is the one that's M.I.A. So you have to keep ordering new ones until they eventually find you. Or you just call it a night and jump back in bed because it's not worth the effort.

9. When you put the correct number and street in the address box, but the wrong town. And you and your friends roll up to the destination thinking it's going to be a super fun party, when in reality you're in front of a calm household in a family neighborhood. You want to blame the driver, but deep down you know that you're the one to blame.

10. When the driver can't figure out your pick-up location and ends up ten blocks from where you're standing. NO sir, I'm actually located a mile in the opposite direction. Very far from where your car is waiting for me right now. Please relocate.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
