Being an older sibling has had it's ups and downs. That being said, I wouldn't trade having a younger brother for anything. Here are ten of the many reasons why I love having a younger brother:

1. You are brutally honest.

When I ask you for your opinion you won't sugar coat it, you just tell me how it is straight up.

2. You are my permanent "partner-in-crime."

Sorry buddy, you're stuck with me the rest of your life.

3. You will always cover for me, but of course there is always a price.

You always will cover for me when I'm somewhere I'm not supposed to be, even if I do have to bribe you with some money or food.

4. You learned from my mistakes.

Let's be real, I made a lot of these growing up and luckily you were smart enough to catch on and not make the same mistakes that I did.

5. You always have my back.

Whether it is facing mom and dad with something, mean girls, or stupid rumors you always have my back.

6. We both can give each other advice.

Even though you are the younger sibling we have both been able to give each other some pretty good advice when we are stuck in a rut.

7. Even though you're younger, you still protect me.

You protect me from danger, mom and dad, and you also steer me away from my poor choices in boys.

8. I can be myself around you.

Thank you for never judging me, always having faith in me and pushing me to follow my dreams.

9. I love watching you grow into a great young man.

I loved growing up with someone that would always play Barbie’s with me and even tossing the football in the back yard. I'm so lucky that you developed some style and what a great man you have become.

10. You're my best friend.

I will love you forever and always, I can't wait to see what your future holds.

I love you buddy-- I wouldn't change a thing about you.
