You can try to fight it, but the truth is that Leslie Knope is by far the greatest "Parks & Recreation" character, and arguably the best character from any TV show. She is a highly motivated, strong-willed woman who can teach us all a few lessons about dedication and hard work. If you love "Parks & Rec" as much as the rest of us, then you definitely learned these lessons throughout all seven seasons from the local government worker you can't help but love.

1. Be confident in your dreams even if everyone else doubts you.

From when we first met the "Parks and Recreation" cast, Leslie Knope stood out with her strong personality and desire to succeed that no one else could top. She faced countless people trying to bring her down along the way, but never let negative words distract her from achieving her goals.

2. Sometimes life will knock you down, but you just have to get back up again.

There's no doubt that Leslie experienced her fair share of struggles during her time working for Pawnee's government, but she always managed to power through them and get back up again. In some cases, more literally than others.

3. Love your friends unconditionally.

Nothing warms the heart more than seeing Leslie be Ann Perkins' biggest fan in every aspect. Leslie sees Ann as the most beautiful and smart nurse in the world and never lets her forget it. I mean, who wouldn't want Leslie Knope as a best friend?

4. Never let anyone try to tell you what to do or boss you around.

Leslie is a strong, confident woman working as the Deputy Director of the Pawnee Parks and Recreation Department. Unafraid of sounding bossy, Leslie dedicates much of her work to empowering young girls to be themselves.

5. Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life.

Seeing how dedicated Leslie is to her job in local government is one of the most inspiring things you will ever see. Watching her in her element, doing exactly what she loves, inspires everyone to find a job that brings them that much passion.

6. Forgive those who have hurt you and give them a second chance.

To think of all the times Leslie has been betrayed by others in both her job and personal life, and to see how well she handles herself is truly inspiring. She always manages to let go of the past, eventually, and to allow second chances.

7. Prioritize what is most important to you.

She knows what she values most and always knows how to prioritize what she needs. But, ultimately, waffles will always be number one.

8. Eat a lot of waffles.

Just to reemphasize this -- waffles, waffles and more waffles.

9. Your true love will always find you.

Leslie had to go through her fair share of not-so-perfect guys until finding her perfect match. At times, she felt hopeless, but her positive outlook proved the fact that true love is out there.

10. Life can get a little crazy, but everything will always work out in the end.

Any true "Parks & Rec" fan knows that Leslie Knope taught us an important lesson about life's course. Throughout the crazy moments where she wanted to give up, Leslie always had confidence that she would get to where she needed to be, and she most definitely did.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
