How many times have you scrolled through your Instagram and wondered where all of those cool food pics come from? The obsession with documenting Sunday brunch and morning-grind soy chai lattes has gone to a whole new level. Due to the craze, I decided to check out the most Insta-worthy food in NYC.
1. 10 Below Ice Cream (10 Mott St., NY)
This small ice-cream shop in Chinatown is an Instagrammer haven! This hotspot is the first place in the city to serve Thai-inspired ice-cream rolls, taking Cold Stone to a whole other level!
2. Tijuana Picnic (151 Essex St., NY)
Tacos, pork dumplings, and tequila; what more could you want?! This chic and retro restaurant is always a good time and definitely a spot to be seen (and shared).
3. Happy Bones (394 Broome St., NY)
Hands down the coolest (and most delicious) coffee shop in the city. And what’s even cooler is that they donate part of your proceeds to “Free Arts NYC”, so you no longer need to feel guilty for splurging on your daily cup!
4. Jack’s Wife Freda (224 Lafayette St., NY)
Your next destination for Sunday brunch with the girls. The pancakes, waffles, and fries are perfect hangover cures, and the sweet sugar packets are all the rage on Insta!
5. Ramen Co. (191 Pearl St., NY)
If you have never had a ramen burger, you’re totally missing out! The pressed noodles are used in place of your basic, boring burger bun and the combination is surprisingly yummy. If you don’t believe me, try for yourself.
6. Tacombi Nolita (267 Elizabeth St, NY)
If you're getting the case of the winter blues, then check out this place for a fun, beachy night out. Inside a concrete garage, old surfer movies play in the background while you grab your tacos and guac (which are served from a vintage Volkswagen van). My kinda night.
7. The Butcher’s Daughter (9 Kenmare St, NY)
If you're one of those Instagrammers who like to post pics of your raw juice cleanse (not judging) then head over here. The sleek juice bottles (and avocado toast) will guarantee a lot of “likes”!
8. The Bagel Store (349 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn)
Have you ever woken up from a poison-apple-induced slumber craving a bagel? Get your fix with a Princess Rainbow bagel (inspired by Disney princesses). Make this Insta-famous Bagel Store a destination on your next trip.
9. Dominique Ansel Bakery (189 Spring St., NY)
This French bakery combines two of everyone’s favorite things: shots and cookies! No joke, they are the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted, shaped like a shot glass and filled with milk. We can all use a cookies and milk break once in a while.
10. Two Hands Café (164 Mott St., NY)
Every time I try to make a smoothie bowl, all I end up with is a giant mess (too much acai?) So, I have given up and now just leave it to the pros at Two Hands Cafè who whip them up like its NBD.
