Some weeks are tougher than others. Sometimes we need a little motivation to get us through. Sometimes, we need a little magic. Who better to give that to us than the wonderful witches and wizards of Hogwarts. Here, have ten motivational quotes from Harry Potter that will help you get through just about anything:

1. “It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

Who better to start us off than the wise old man, Albus Dumbledore himself? He always seemed to have the perfect words of wisdom, and does not disappoint here. Remember these words if you ever feel like you're not good enough for something, or not right for something. It's up to you what to do, and it's your choices that determine your path.

2. “What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does.”

Here's one from our kindly half giant, here to remind us that some things are just out of our control. Sure, that can feel stressful at times, but we just have to be ready to face what's there.

3. “Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect.”

Luna Lovegood. Sweet, eccentric, and wise beyond her years. Luna understood that sometimes we lose things we care about. She also understood that the important things will always make their way back to us, in some form or another.

4. “Just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have.”

Some humorous words from the brightest witch of her age, Miss Hermione Granger. She's here to remind us that it's always okay to get a little bit too emotional. (Is she also here to help us with our homework? I hope so.)

5. "Books! And cleverness! There are more important things -- friendship and bravery."

Another one from Miss Granger, making it clear that academic smarts aren't always the most important thing. Sometimes we have to put our other values first, especially when it comes to helping people out.

6. “We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.”

Sirius Black had to make an appearance here, and it's a good one. Sometimes we don't make the best choices. Sometimes we feel like we aren't the best people. It's okay. We have the ability to make it right, to act on the light and do good.

7. "Dobby has no master. Dobby is a free elf."

Ah, Dobby. His story shows us just how good someone can be, even in the face of some really horrible situations. Dobby's discovered freedom and his loyalty to Harry Potter can always be an inspiration to us all.

8. "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

You didn't think you could get through this with just one Dumbledore quote, did you? This one is a big one. Always remember that even when things seem very dark, it is possible to find the light in the situation.

9. "Don't let the muggles get you down."

Ron was, of course, talking about people who can't do magic, but we can take this as a reminder to not let the negative people around us to influence our lives.

10. "Turn to page 394."

Because, sometimes, you just have to open up a book.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
