10 Important Lessons From The Bluth Family

Arrested Development is the story of a wealthy family who lost everything and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together. The show centers around the Bluth Family's outrageous antics.

1. Be the bigger person.

If someone insults you, turn the other cheek.

2. Always be there for your family.

The Bluth Family is the epitome of a supportive family; they may have a funny way of showing it, but they're always there for one another.

3. Don't give up when things get tough.
The Bluth Family has faced their fair share of hardships, yet they always power through whatever issues that pop up.

4. When you're angry, try meditation.

I'm sure everyone has gotten angry their fair share of times. Next time you're angry, instead of acting irrationally, try meditation. Then follow it with a 2 hour (minimum) angry nap.

5. Honesty is the best policy.
While the Bluth family has been involved in their fair share of lies, they are always sure to be honest about the important things.

6. Appreciate the little things.

George Bluth Senior is a great example of a man who appreciates the little things in life. He may be in jail for defrauding investors and "light treason," but he still manages to make the best out of the situation and embrace life in prison.

7. Live life to the fullest.

Buster Bluth is consistently trying new things; whether it's studying archaeology or opening a "chequing" account, he truly lives life to the fullest.

8. It's Okay to be sad sometimes.

George Michael provides some impressive examples of ways to combat sadness, get back on your feet, and continue on.

9. Relaxation comes in many different forms.

A lot of people have many different ways to relax after a long day. The Bluth's are no exception. You can kick back and watch tv, take a nap, or even take a hit from a juice box.

10. Be smart with finances.

While most people opt to use banks to store their money, George Bluth Senior, being the savvy business man that he is, stores his money in the family banana stand.

The Bluth Family teaches so many important life lessons, it was hard to narrow it down to only ten. This remarkable family truly exhibits model behavior (most of the time...).

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
