Gift giving is how I show people that I love them. There comes a challenge when writing an article that talks about the generic college senior, but hopefully your senior might enjoy a few, if not all, of these gifts! They range from practical to sentimental or just down-right fun. College students love to entertain, make their home look pretty, or simply have an organized car.

1. 5 succulent plants for $11

Most likely, your college senior is feeling a little disappointed. Succulent plants give your college senior something to take care of and love forever. Click HERE to purchase them for your senior!

2. $18 Front Seat Organizer

If you know that your senior got a job where they will be commuting, here's a practical gift to ease their ride and keep their car organized. When I spend a lot of time in my car, I know for a fact that it turns into a mess. Click HERE to order one for your senior!

3. $29 organizing wicker storage baskets

Moving from college life to adult life can be challenging- especially when you have no idea what you're doing. Your college senior might appreciate a little bit of organization for their future endeavors. Here's where you can get them!

4. A $34 portable cornhole set

This just might be a southern thing, but any college graduate will appreciate a cornhole set so they can entertain their friends and family in their new place. Amazon sells them for just under $35!

*Disclaimer: after the Coronavirus passes, they can use this to entertain people!

5. $60 bookcase

Again with a practical gift, but college students have a hard time justifying spending their money on shelving. If you can provide that sweet organization for your senior, please do it! Now, this IS an IKEA shelf, so there will be some assembly required- but just think about all of the bonding that will come with building it!

6. This $76 dartboard

Growing up, we always had a dartboard and I remember it bringing me some of my fondest childhood memories. It may scream "college frat" to some people, but I see it as a fun way to entertain people and cultivate conversation. Amazon has them for sale HERE.

7. A $130 kitchen cart

Chances are that your college senior is going to need some sort of storage in their kitchen. The product description below says it all:

It gives you extra storage in your kitchen.
Two adjustable shelves in solid oak with groves to keep bottles in place.
Countertop with a thick oak veneer, a durable natural material that can be sanded and surface treated when required.

You can get it HERE!

8. $140 portable washer and dryer combo

I've seen these used a lot in tiny homes- but the chances are that your college senior has just come out of an apartment or home that provided the washer and dryer. If they're moving to a place that does not have those things provided anymore, this washer and dryer combo is the perfect startup until they can save for a more expensive set.

9. $180 Table lamp with WiFi speaker

Most college students have some sort of Bluetooth speaker that they've acquired throughout their college career. This speaker inside of a lamp takes the same concept but makes it ~classy~. You can find it HERE.

10. KitchenAid  Classic Plus Series 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

The Amazon description below almost sounds like you're purchasing a car. I believe that EVERY college student dreams of owning one of these bad boys- and I know that I'll be asking for one when I graduate in a year. You can get one HERE.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
