If you know me, you know I'm in a relationship but not your typical relationship, it is long distance. The relationship has been long distance for over three years now, with me and my boyfriend being anywhere from 190 miles to 3,600 miles apart. While I don't recommend long distance relationships as my first choice, my boyfriend and I have gotten through it. However, it is never easy and your mood about it changes on the daily.

1. There are days you miss your S.O. a lot.

I usually miss my boyfriend all the days I'm not with him but it was particularly hard when he was studying abroad in Europe. It never gets easier to be apart!

2. When you finally get to see each other, it's amazing.

In my relationship, we typically go 2-3 months without seeing each other in person. That means when we see each other, I tend to go into full attack mode.

3. You get to travel to see each other.

Both great and also a nightmare. Just recently I drove three hours down to my boyfriend's house. That's a bit of a nightmare. However, once I'm with him, we get to drive around and hang out!

4. Finding things to do when together is a ton of fun!

Usually it's a ton of museums! Which I'm not complaining about!

5. Skype is your best friend.

I couldn't find a great gif so Mr. Burns will have to do! However, I use Skype on the daily thanks to my relationship. We always put at least half an hour in a day to talk to each other.

6. When you have to leave each other, it's super hard.

Even though you know you will be seeing each other soon, it still doesn't help the fact that you're leaving them in that instant.

7. Making plans to see each other can be a pain in the butt.

Making sure weeks match up, seeing if we can actually get to each other without parental use, it's a ton of planning just to see your S.O.

8. Your relationship is based on communication and that can be rough.

This leads down the road of miscommunication and even arguments over the lack of communication when the other party is busy.

9. You can send each other packages occasionally!

I have gotten flowers and video games from my boyfriend and it only brightens my day!

10. You will always be counting down the days until you can see them again!

Slowly but surely, the day will come again!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
