Partying isn't for everyone, and sometimes it's good to just take a break and chill with friends. Here are some fun alternative options to do on a Friday night with friends in college!

1. Game Night

From Cards Against Humanity to Mafia to Fibbage, there are so many fun games you can play with a group of friends! Maybe some fun Party Games or Strategy Games to challenge your friends and just have a good time laughing! This is how inside jokes come about.

2. Movie night

There's always a movie a few people haven't seen that everyone else in the group loves. Or else you can go with a classic Disney movie, no judegement here! Pop some popcorn, bring out the icecream and blankets and have fun laughing, crying, or getting pissed off at a movie plot as a group of friends. Girls Night? Just a group of friends? Scary Movie? There's something out these for every type of movie-watching group!

3. Go to Ice Cream

My friend group loves going to Baskin Robbins at least once a month. Cheap-ish ice cream, and we are regular enough that the workers know us by now! It's a good time to chat, eat delicious ice cream, and just relax after a long week of classes.

4. Go out to dinner!

I recommend Red Robin, because bottomless fries are the best, but any local restaurant or even a chain would do. Have everyone get dressed up, and go dine and pretend like you have money to spend!

5. Build a fort

You can never go wrong with building a blanket fort like when you were a kid. So, grab blankets and sheets, some couches and some chairs and be creative!

6. See a play/musical

Look and see if something is showing on campus or at a local theatre!

7. Go to a sporting event

Go support your school's sports teams and cheer on your fellow _______! (Lutes in my case!)

8. Chill

Hang out, tell stories, and just enjoy each other's company.

9. Sing-a-longs

I like to make Spotify playlists and make my friends guess what song it is, and then we all sing along!

10. Sleep

You've had a busy week, sometimes it's ok to just take a break and sleep. It can be rejuvenating and you'll have more energy for the next week! (Or at least the next day.)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
