10 Sure Ways To Know If You're Addicted To Online Dating

Online dating is becoming more and more popular -- with every age group. So as we all walk around with our heads buried in our smartphones, keep yourself in check. Here are 10 ways you know you're addicted to your online dating apps.

1. For starters, if you have more than one online dating app on your phone.

If this is you, please, please, PLEASE, just stick to one. Really. It just gets all too confusing. Loyalty, anyone?

2. Furthermore, if you have more than one online dating app on your phone AND you're matching with THE SAME PEOPLE ON ALL OF THEM...

Then it's a sign that you're just trying way too hard, and you're giving that really creepy old guy more than one opportunity to stalk your profile photos.

3. If you have a ringtone set for the notifications of said dating apps...

So you'll know the difference between a new message from a cutie and your mom texting you to remind you to pay your speeding ticket.

4. If your profile photo is one that you've edited and/or filtered the sh*t out of.

It's not really you... and he's not going to recognize you when he meets you for coffee... and that's just embarrassing.

5. If you've found yourself becoming too picky... or not picky enough, for that matter.

Are you even yourself anymore?

6. If you're frequently checking with your roommate to see if "they've matched with so-and-so, too?"

Uninstall it right now. And tell your roommate to do the same.

7. If he's Snapchatting you AND YOUR ROOMMATE AT THE SAME TIME.

Um, goodbye. Unmatch that fella right now, and run very far away. You've become so addicted, you don't even care that you've gone full circle. Quit it.

8. If the past three relationships you've been in have started from an online dating website or app,

you need to get out more. There are actual real people waiting to take you on a date. Get your head out of your hind quarters.

9. If your Saturdays consist of swiping left or right based on instant attraction to a more than likely filtered photo of a person that doesn't even live in your state...

You've gone off the deep end, my friend. You're going to need an intervention.

10. If you don't want to go out on a date unless you can get the run-down of the guy's likes and dislikes, at least four photos, and the approximate mileage he is away from you...

I don't really have any advice for you. You're an addict. And the first step is admitting you have a problem.

That's it for now, folks.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
