Fall is one of the most beautiful, refreshing, and magical seasons of the year. Girls all over the country can't wait to Instagram a picture of that vibrant Fall foliage, or tweet about their delicious latte. What girls also can't wait for is, *drum roll*, PUMPKIN SPICE EVERYTHING! I can remember a time when pumpkin spice was just a flavor shot we would put in our coffee, now almost everything has the trendy label of "Pumpkin Spice Flavored!", even our face wash? Let's get back to what New England girls really love about fall. Here is a list of 10 things we love more than pumpkin spice:

1. Fall Sports

If there is anything that we New England girls can appreciate, it's our sports teams. From the Red Sox to the Patriots, we know how to score. What is something about Fall we love more than pumpkin spice? Gronkowski, Brady, Edelman, and TOUCHDOWNS.

2. Coffee Dates

Coffee dates are a thing and we wished they happened more. Since the 1950s, first dates have taken over the "dinner and a movie combo." We are ready for something a little more...cozy.

3. Scenic Drives

The world is a beautiful place to see, but one of the most beautiful sites is right in our backyard. Nothing can compare to a long drive with the windows down, wind in your hair, and this view right through your windshield. Except maybe if Tom Brady was in the passenger seat.

4. Baking

Who doesn't love a girl that can bake? Add a notch in those belts boys because here comes our homemade apple pies, banana bread, pumpkin muffins, and anything else we can throw into the oven.

5. Perfect Fall Photos

There is something about that Fall lighting that makes you want to hashtag, #NoFilter. The vibrant colors and adventurous hikes make any girl ready to take a selfie and say "Pumpkin Spice!"

6. Halloween Movies, until Christmas

Girl's grab your teddy bear and lock the doors, we are about to scare the sh*& out of ourselves. Halloween Town, Hocus Pocus, and Casper? I'm already making a huge fort in my room for a movie marathon.

7. Give me all the Booties

I have never been more thankful to be alive during a time where there are so many types of boots at my disposal. Ankle boots, knee-high boots, black boots, leather boots, Uggs, I WANT THEM ALL.

8. Trick or Treat!

Elements of an awesome holiday: candy, sugary-treats, and absurd outfits you wear once a year with your friends, DUH!

9. Sweater Weather

Only during Fall could you pair a dark-vampy lip color, blood red nails, and your Grandpa's sweater from the 70s. He had no idea how cute and trendy you could be in his over-sized sweaters.

10. Yoga pants

Thats right, our favorite thing about the cooler weather is Yoga pants. Our only way to wake up five minutes before class, eat a donut for breakfast, and still look as if our number one priority was the gym. Not to mention there is nothing more comfortable on a beautiful Autumn day.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
