10 Easy Cheap Cute Couple Costumes

Happy October! Halloween is here and that means costumes, candy corn, apple cider, and parties. I love Halloween. I love dressing up, learning how to do some cool makeup, and having a family party at my grandma's house, complete with a homemade haunted house. I am also a proud supporter of couple costumes. What is so bad about two people, whether friends, lovers, or even a big group, matching their outfits? Some costumes are cheesy, expensive, or a little dirty, so here is a list of cheap, easy, last minute, appropriate, and cute couple costumes.

1. Oreos

How cute is this! I think this is a great excuse for hugging all night, and I am all for that. You also probably have a white shirt, so all you would need to some black or dark brown paper, white paint or markers, and white ribbon to attach the cookie to you. You could also get a white beanie to complete the look. I don't think there is a better way to stay warm on Halloween night.

2. Deer and Hunter

I saw this everywhere last year, including me and my boyfriend, but it is super easy. You can find camouflage clothes at Walmart or sporting store, and most people have some brown clothes. The ears and tail are easy to make with felt. The makeup was the best part, and there are plenty on examples on YouTube and Pinterest.

3. Black and White Characters

I think this looks so cool. All you would need is some black hair spray, unless you already have dark hair, and LOTS of gray face paint. This is super fun, and something totally different.

4. Burglars

This was such a fun costume. All you need is a white and black striped shirt, and black gloves, mask, and beanie. I also sewed some money bags, and we kept gold money coins in them (you know, the chocolate coins). Fun Fact, we looked everywhere for a stripped shirt for Cameron, and we ended up getting a different colored striped one and coloring the lines over with sharpie. It looked fine, but we saw a black and white stripped shirt the day after Halloween. My advice is to just get a cheap white shirt and draw on it if you can't find one.

5. Mario and Luigi

This is one from when we were working together. We worked at Little Caesar's Pizza, and we got to dress up. This was extremely easy to make, and it was pretty cute, too. You can get fake construction hats at the party store, and then paint on the letters. We then took blue ribbon and put yellow felt on as buttons. This picture was taken after the busiest pizza day of the year, so the costumes did look better before we worked! The mustaches only stayed on because I used eyelash glue, so there's that helpful tip for you.

6. Salt and Pepper

This one I super easy and cute. You just need a black and white shirt, and some paint, markers, or felt. I have seen some people take silver take out tins and put holes on them instead of wearing hats, but either way this is cheap and cute.

7. Stick Figures

This is another one that I have seen a few different ways. Some people wear glow sticks over black clothes, but unless you are somewhere really dark, that isn't as cool, so I picked this alternative. White clothes with black duct tape. You could use a white poster board and sharpie for the faces, and the bows are optional. This one is one that would be really fun in a big group.

8.Comic Book Characters

This one is one that I love because you can wear whatever you want. The costume is all in the make-up, and as long as you have black face paint, or eyeliner, you can pretty much do whatever you want. There are tons of examples on YouTube, so don't freak out if you think this looks hard, because it's a lot easier than it looks.

9.Sims

Talk about an easy costume. All you would need is a headband that you connect a thin wire to, with a green paper diamond to. You can wear whatever you want, and go whatever direction you want. This would be super easy to make last minute, and it looks awesome.

10. Bob Ross and a Happy Tree

This one is just simply cool. Everyone should get it, and it is funny! All you need is a cardboard paint tray, and a big brown afro wig. You also would need leaves, that you could make from paper, or if you don't mind the mess you could collect leaves from outside. Just make sure you smile all night long.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
