1. "We all change when you think about it. We're all different people all through our lives and that's OK. That's good. As long as you keep moving, as long as you remember all the people that you used to be." —11th Doctor

Everyone changes, even when we don’t want to. Life throws us a curveball every now and then, and those experiences change us. Nothing is wrong with changing who you are. Just never forget all the people you use to be. Don’t forget that careless child you once were, the awkward middle schooler or even the bratty 16-year-old. Those are all people you once were, which made you who you are today.

2. “We’re all stories in the end, just make it a good one, eh?” —11th Doctor

News flash: one day we are all going to be old and someday, we will all cease to exist. So, the best thing to do with your life is make it a good story to be told.

3. “Fear doesn’t have to make you cruel or cowardly. Fear can make you kind.” —Clara

When we don’t understand something, it scares us. When something scares us, it usually makes us do irrational things. In this particular episode, Clara is talking to the Doctor when he was a child. The Doctor had a fear, but instead of being made a coward, he used that fear to save many lives. I think that speaks volumes as to what we, as individuals, can do if we stop using fear as an excuse for hate.

4. “Everything's got to end sometime, otherwise nothing would ever get started.” —10th Doctor

This particular quote is what I put on my high school graduation cap, because I think it speaks to anyone who’s going through a major life change. This is what I tell myself anytime something major happens. Something may be ending, but something greater is beginning.

5. “If the essence of my being has caused a smile to have appeared upon your face, or a touch of joy within your heart, then in living—I have made my mark.” —First Doctor

We all like to believe that we’re going to change the world. The likelihood of that happening is slim. However, if we make just one person happy by being ourselves, our lives are successful.

6. “If you are so desperate to stay alive, why don’t you live a little?”

—10th Doctor

People spend their entire lives trying to stay alive, but very few people actually do anything with the life they are trying to protect. So, get out there, have fun, do crazy things and, most importantly, have more adventures.

7. “Geronimo, Allons-y, Oh for God’s sake." —8 ½, 10th and 11th Doctors

Sometimes, you just have to give it all you got... and jump.

8. "The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa—the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant." —11th Doctor

Life is full of good and bad moments, but you can’t let those few moments define you. Good things don’t make life’s sad moments any better, and that’s OK. Just remember to not let those bad moments ruin your good ones, either.

9. “A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting.” —3rd Doctor

Sometimes, in life, you have to take the long-way around. Those usually make for the best adventures.

10. “In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important.” —11th Doctor

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
