We all had a long year because CVOID-19 SUCKS! I miss my friends and family so much, but there are still ways to bring people kindness and love when you can't see them so closely.

1. Send someone flowers or another gift

People loving gifts during the pandemic and it's good for small businesses too.

2. Text or call someone to literally say hello

When a friend gives me a phone call just to check in, I know I am not alone during this crisis.

3. Or even video chat

I set up video calls with friends - it's not the same as in person but it will do okay for now and will show others that you are keeping in touch with them.

4. Send a card

I sent holiday cards and just greeting cards this year to help people cope with the pandemic and they were so popular that I made more to send out.

5. Have a social distance date

See your friends, but be smart. Keep in touch when you can but social distance and don't let your guard down.

6. Host a virtual get together

Invite others to get together to show support through video chats. I had a virtual reunion with my friends who I met in Israel and it was a blast.

7. Donate

Now is the time to donate money, food, clothes, anything as people are being laid off due to COVID-19.

8. Thank workers

Individuals don't always have the choice to work from home, especially nurses, so be thankful.

9. Show patience

This thing will end soon, do your best, and be patient with others.

10. Be kind to yourself and others - BE NICE!

Just be nice - everyone is going through hard stuff.

Be Kind. Always.

15 Affirmations To Remember During Mental Health Awareness Month

Odyssey recognizes that mental well-being is a huge component of physical wellness. Our mission this month is to bring about awareness & normality to conversations around mental health from our community. Let's recognize the common symptoms and encourage the help needed without judgement or prejudice. Life's a tough journey, we are here for you and want to hear from you.

It's a topic that needs to be talked about way more than it should, especially in today's world: mental health. Whether it be anxiety, depression or O.C.D. (or anything, really), we have come to learn as a society that it's okay- and even more beneficial than you think- to openly talk about experiencing what almost everyone does inside the complex mind.

The girl who was supposed to be forever

You become best friends thinking you’ll never leave each others side, that bff’s literally means forever and ever. You pick someone and you click. Random trips to wherever, tons and tons of photos. You spend years building a relationship and a special bond thinking it’ll be there when you’re gray and wrinkly. The endless nights staying up and talking about anything and everything, the stupidest things. Meeting each other’s families, calling their parents yours. You plan your whole life around theirs, future kids being besties and houses next door to each others.
