10 Things Every College Kid Has To Do When They Come Home

College is a wonderful, new, and exciting world. But there are a few things that it can never have compared to, considering what you have back home. Here are 10 things that every college kid either does or has to do as soon as they come home for winter break:

1. Hug Your Mom

It is a given that your mom will be waiting you to come home, so a huge hug it absolutely necessary.

2. Check The Fridge

When you are stuck with cafeteria food for five months, a refrigerator with real food is a foreign, yet coveted, concept.

3. Take A Shower, WITHOUT Shower Shoes

Water pressure? What is that?

4. Eat

Eat real, home-cooked, Mama-made food. And enjoy every second of it.

5. Sleep

Sleep well in your non-twin sized bed. And sleep for hours on end, because you can and you have no more 8 a.m.s.

6. Visit With Old Friends

You're bound to have a few good old friends that have been awaiting to see you.

7. Watch TV

Just because you can, you have an actual couch, and you have no more schoolwork.

8. Spend Time With Your Dad

I'm sure he missed you just as much as your Mom did, he's probably just not as loud about it.

9. Celebrate Being Done With Finals

All the hours on end of study, and now you're free!

10. Just Enjoy It

Take advantage of being home and having a break!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
