I, like many of my friends, am a classic rock junkie. I commonly get called a "hipster," "dead head" or "hippie," but I don't care! I love my music, and hopefully after these 10 songs, you will too! So get your tie-dye ready, here we go!
1. The Rolling Stones -- "Wild Horses"
Wedding song, anyone? This song puts John Legend's "All Of Me" to shame!
2. Led Zeppelin -- "Ramble On"
This song is a favorite of mine when riding around in my brother's convertible. Perfect jam music!
3. Blue Oyster Cult -- "Don't Fear The Reaper"
Originally from Utica, New York, Blue Oyster Cult is a great rock band with several hits including "Don't Fear the Reaper," "Godzilla" and "Burnin' For You"
4. Pink Floyd -- "Wish You Were Here"
Pink Floyd is a classic band, and I'm sure most everyone has heard of them. "Wish You Were Here" is off of the ever popular "Dark Side of The Moon" album. Give it a listen!
5. Creedence Clearwater Revival -- "Have You Ever Seen The Rain"
Creedence Clearwater Revival, known as CCR by most '60s rock fans, is a Woodstock band headed by two brother, John and Tom Fogerty.
6. The Rolling Stones -- "Sympathy For The Devil"
Another jam tune here!
7. The Doors -- "Roadhouse Blues"
Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors, was the ultimate bad-boy showman. He is considered by many to be one of the most influential people in rock history, and he had great hair, too.
8. The Kinks -- "Waterloo Sunset"
"Waterloo Sunset" is iconic to those immersed in classic rock culture. Give it a listen!
9. The Beach Boys -- "Wouldn't It Be Nice"
The Beach Boys are the original surf band. It's perfect summer day music!
10. The Beatles -- "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"
The first song on this album, "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is extremely catchy! The whole album is definitely worth a listen. Linked here is side A of the vinyl, which I own and love!
I hope you enjoyed my list of 10 classic rocks songs!
