Once Halloween has passed most people will be ready for the next holiday, which is Christmas. Just kidding, I know that Thanksgiving is before that, but the reality is that Christmas is what is on everyone’s minds. To complete the Holiday Season, you need the right music to get you’re through the Winter. Here are 10 songs that must be on your playlist.
1. All I Want for Christmas is You- Mariah Carey

Everyone loves a classic song. When you hear the intro to this song your mind will automatically put you in the Christmas mood. Mariah’s vocals are what make the song. She sings high notes that we can only dream of possessing. It doesn’t matter if you have someone in your life romantically, you still love to bust out the lyrics.
2. Last Christmas- Wham!

Ok, we’ve all had this person that has broken our hearts. Even if you’ve never been in a relationship there is still a person that pops into your head when you sing this song. The Glee Version is a good cover if you want a less-80’s version of the song, or Taylor Swift if you want that country twang.
3. This Christmas- (Chris Brown Version)
Christmas is the time that should be spent with family. The songs R&B vibes and Chris Brown's vocal range put you in one of the greatest moods. This is one of the greatest covers of a song. It’s nice when artists will take a creative approach to change a song and make it their own version.

4. Santa Claus is Coming to Town- (Justin Bieber Version)

Ok, I know what you are thinking, “Why the heck is Justin Bieber on this list”, but this version is one that contains elements of the Jackson 5. I’m usually not a fan of the Biebs, but hearing this made me want to dance around and belt my voice. So, before you disregard the song, take a listen, and see that this version is worth putting on your playlist.
5. Cold December Night- Michael Buble

Everyone knows that every Canadian Mom’s favorite singer is Michael Buble. His voice is one of the greatest things to happen to humanity, so the excitement that he would create a Christmas album was the best news for us all. In this album, he reinvents so many of the Christmas hits that we know and love, but not only that, he manages to write original Christmas songs. This song is one of those originals.
6. Christmas Tonight- Dave Barnes ft. Hillary Scott

This is another original song that is one of the highlights for romance. The vocals in this song are amazing, and the music brings a very cozy feel. Many original songs are overlooked, but this is a song that should be listening to even if you don’t have a significant other.
7. Wonderful Christmastime- Paul McCartney
This song is just plain amazing. This song receives so many negative reviews when it could be the greatest Christmas song ever to have existed. If the Paul McCartney version isn’t the right fit for you, there is a Demi Lovato version that gives more of a modern tune.
8. Merry Christmas Darling- (Christina Perri Version)
Christina Perri’s soft and soothing voice makes the song delicate in a special way. She keeps the original key and tempo from the Carpenter’s original version and adds her twist. This Christmas song should not be overlooked and should be heard.
9. Christmas Promise- Backhouse Mike
If you have seen the Nickelodeon Movie Merry Christmas Drake and Josh, there is a song that starts off the movie, this is the song. Original Christmas songs that are catchy are hard to come by, but this song was made perfectly. The harmonies and the melody are beautifully infused together. Even if you haven’t seen the movie, this song should be on your playlist.
10. Yule Shoot Your Eye Out- Fall Out Boy
A good angst song is always nice, and this song delivers. The negative lyrics of a break-up are covered by a rhythmic guitar riff. Fall Out Boy brings their usual rock into the Christmas genre. This song is for anyone who needs that emotional boost during the Holiday Season.
