10 Celebrities Who Didn't Marry Celebrities

Don't we all wish we could marry the famous man or woman of our dreams? Life would be so much easier that way. But, half of the reason we feel it would be so great is because there is no chance of it actually happening, so it's unattainable. Except, maybe it's not. At least for these 10 couples (and a few lucky others). Here is a list of 10 celebrities who married ordinary people.

1. Matt Damon & Luciana Barroso

They met while Damon was filming Stuck on You in 2003. Damon went into a Miami Beach bar where Barroso was working as a bartender. He was trying to hide behind the bar so the paparazzi wouldn't find him. While he was hiding, she found him. Two years later they got married. They have 3 children together and are still going strong. He often talks about how his wife is his soul mate.

2. Reese Witherspoon & Jim Toth

This relationship began in 2009. The couple got together after a friend of Toth’s spent time drunkenly hitting on Witherspoon. Toth came to intervene and apologized for his friend's actions. In February 2010, they made it official to the press. Toth works as a talent agent and has been head of Creative Artists Agency since 2010, which is the agency that represents Witherspoon. They got married in 2011 and had a son in 2012.

3. Julia Roberts & Danny Moder

These two met when Roberts was shooting The Mexican in 2000. Moder was a cameraman and, at the time, married to a makeup artist. People had already said that the union had already been faulty, but Moder's hots for Roberts might have contributed to that divorce as well. They divorced in 2000. Two months before Roberts and Moder got married, they got matching tattoos together. They got married in a secret wedding in July of 2002 on Robert's ranch in New Mexico.

4. Jerry Seinfeld & Jessica Sklar

In 1998, Sklar and Seinfeld met at a sports club, working out next to each other. Sklar was a PR executive for Tommy Hilfiger and was about to get married to Eric Nederlander. When she got back from her honeymoon with Nederlander, she started seeing Seinfeld, then filed for divorce four months into her marriage. These two were then married in December of 1999. They now have three children.

5. Conan O'Brien & Liza Powel

O'Brien actually met Powel on his late night show when she signed on to be an advertising consultant in 2000. O'Brien claims that it was absolutely love at first sight. They got married in January of 2002 in Seattle, Washington. They have two children.

6. Tobey Maguire & Jennifer Meyer

They met in 2003 when Maguire was filming Seabiscuit. Her father, Ron Meyer, is the president of Universal Studios. So basically, it was his boss' daughter. She is a professional jewelry designer. The two were married in 2007 in a ceremony in Kona, Hawaii. They have two kids and seem very much in love.

7. Tina Fey & Jeff Richmond

They met while working at Chicago’s Second City in 1994. They dated seven years before he popped the question. The two got married in 2001 in a Greek Orthodox ceremony which was followed by a huge party (I bet Amy Poehler was there). They have one daughter.

8. Meryl Streep & Don Gummer

They have been married 37 years and are one of the strongest couples. Streep was introduced to Gummer, who is a sculptor, by her brother. The couple believes their secret is, "a willingness to bend, goodwill and the ability to shut up every now and again." They got married in a small event in 1978 at Streep's parents house in Connecticut. They have four children.

9. Cynthia Nixon & Christine Marinoni

Nixon met Marinoni, who is an education activist, at an education rally in 2002. It took two years for them to say they were an official couple. In 2009, they attended a rally to support New York gay marriage, where they got engaged. In 2011, they were allowed to legally get married. They got married as soon as it best worked for them in May of 2012. They have a son together.

10. Marcia Cross & Tom Mahoney

She spotted him at a Los Angeles flower shop. She then left her phone number for him and the rest is history. This stockbroker married Cross in June of 2006 at a church in Pasadena. They now have two daughters.

There are definitely other celebrities who are also married to ordinary people. So, maybe it's more common to marry a celebrity than we think. It doesn't hurt to dream big.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
