10 Brooklyn Brunch Spots You MUST Try

1. Le Petit Cafe

Where is it? Carroll Gardens, 502 Court St

What's so special about it? Look at that garden ATMOSPHERE. It has a fresh, French menu and relaxed vibes, so you can sip mango mimosas and enjoy your morning.

2. Roebling Tea Room

Where is it? Williamsburg, 143 Roebling St

What's so special about it? Industrial vibes, but still cozy and sweet! Yes, they do serve tea, but they're known for their boozy cocktails and American food menu.

3. The Ugly Duckling

Where is it? Cobble Hill, 166 Smith St

What's so special about it? They're well known for their amazing chicken and waffles! They have a farm-fresh atmosphere and wholesome brunch options.

4. Greenhouse Cafe

Where is it? Bay Ridge, 7717 3rd Ave

What's so special about it? Not only can you sit IN AN ACTUAL GREENHOUSE, but drinks are unlimited, as well as homemade muffins!

5. Cafe Zona Sur

Where is it? Sunset Park, 4314 4th Ave

What's so special about it? They pride themselves on their 'globally influenced American food'. Their menu has anything from huevos rancheros, to lemon ricotta crepes, and even PIZZA.

6. Beehive Oven Biscuit Cafe

Where is it? Williamsburg, 182 S 2nd St

What makes it so special? BISCUITS. Must I say more?

7. Cafe Luluc

Where is it? Cobble Hill, 214 Smith St

What's so special about it? Basically, they have the best pancakes ever and everybody loses their minds about them.

8. Five Leaves

Where is it? Greenpoint, 18 Bedford Ave

What's so special about it? This was actually one of Heath Ledger's projects, but unfortunately the cafe opened in 2009 after his passing. It serves delicious modern American dishes, and has an open atmosphere!

9. Terra Firma

Where is it? Bushwick, 119 Ingraham St

What's so special about it? It describes itself as 'rustic chic', and truly delivers on that style. They also have Elvis french toast, which just sounds too good to be true.

10. Baby's All Right

Where is it? South Williamsburg, 146 Broadway

What's so special about it? This place is a music venue, dance hall, and bar by night, but on the weekends they have brunch specials, with live music or a DJ!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
