As President Barack Obama's presidency comes to an end and President Elect Donald Trump is coming into office, change is in the air. During a time of such controversy and division in our country I think it's important to remain in unity and band together to create a brighter future. All politics aside, Barack Obama always brought smiles and laughter to our lives just by being him. Here are of Obama's best moments we all had the ability to witness throughout his eight years in the spotlight.

1. Being sworn in as the first African American President of the United States of America.

Barack Obama made history becoming the first African American President of the USA. His inauguration broke barriers and it was a privilege to witness that.

2. His dad jokes.

Obama is the king of dad jokes. Especially at each Thanksgiving. His turkey jokes had the crowd giggling. He seems to always crack himself up too.

3. His legendary mic drop.

Obama ended his speech at his last White House Correspondence Dinner with "Obama Out" and a simple drop of the mic. It was was absolutely legendary.

4. His bromance with Joe Biden.

Joe Biden and Barack Obama probably have the best President and VP relationship in history. Friendship bracelets, ice cream dates -- these guys are really brothers.

5. His birth video release.

At the 2011 White House Correspondence dinner, Obama decided to release his "birth video." This video turned out to be a clip from "The Lion King" and had the crowd roaring with laughter.

6. His connection with children.

Obama clearly has a connection with kids. Every time he comes across a child he has no problem showing his playful side. He has also been known to be able to calm babies in the blink of an eye.

7. His song performances.

There have been many moments Obama can't help but to break into song. We've heard him preform "Amazing Grace". "Happy Birthday" and even an original with Jimmy Fallon.

8. His love for Michelle.

Obama makes his love for his wife so clear. You can see the love in his eyes every time he looks into her eyes. Regardless of what you think of him as a President, you can't deny he's a great husband.

9. His many talk show appearances.

Obama has no problem letting lose and joking around with celebrity TV personnel. He's appeared on Jimmy Fallon, Between two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, He even appeared on Jimmy Kimmel reading mean tweets written about himself.

10. His run around the white house.

Obama and his main man Joe Biden decide to go for a quick jog around the White House to bring awareness to Michelle's "Let's Move" campaign.

Thanks for all the laughs Obama. Peace out.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
