10 Qualities That Make A Person More Attractive

Or maybe it's just physics.

We could all list the qualities of a person that make them unattractive. Being lazy, rude, uncompassionate, or arrogant all hit the top of (hopefully) most of our lists. However, let's focus in on what actually make a person more attractive in our eyes.

1. A sense of humor

Taking life too seriously is never good. The ability for another person to make you laugh is easily one of the best traits any person can have.

2. Compassion

A lack of empathy should be a red flag for most of us. If a person is genuinely kind and empathetic with others, it demonstrates their goodness as a person.

3. Consistency

There's little things that are more of a turn-off than someone who's there for you one day and then gone the next. When a person day by day keeps showing their interest, it's attractive.

4. Humility

Nobody wants to date someone who is already in love with themselves. To be confident and love yourself as a person is different than boasting about every accomplishment you've ever had since birth. Save it for the right time; humility goes a long way.

5. Open-mindedness

That's correct, you aren't always right. Having the ability to accept other people's beliefs/lifestyles even if you disagree is a positive aspect in any person.

6. Honesty

Getting caught in a lie could be one of the largest turn-offs. To lie to any person is downright disrespectful, let alone your potential significant other.

7. Being a good listener

"What college did you say you go to again?" After dating for eight months may not be appropriate. When a person can remember little details about your life, it's appreciated more than we all think.

8. Good hygiene

Sitting next to a person that smells repulsive will never get anyone in the "mood." Hit the shower, keep a clean cut, and spray some cologne/perfume for your own sake.

9. Motivation

Lying around on the couch all day eating potato chips 24/7 isn't exactly how we picture our future life partner. Whether it's a desire to do well in school, work out at the gym or even participate in several activities, it all causes a greater sense of attraction because it demonstrates a strong drive in life.

10. Happiness

A constant complainer that's dragging you down is not attractive in any manner. A person who you always leaves you feeling better after hanging out will inevitably create a stronger attraction and desire.

Moral of the story: Be yourself, but don't be a rude, selfish idiot. Good luck in the law of attraction.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
