Now that summer is here, a goal that looms for females everywhere is how to get the ideal and "perfect" bikini body. As females, there are certain societal standards set for us all and a certain image pushed for us to follow and maintain. And that can put a damper on our mood, attitude, and our summer. Well, here is one tip for you that you must try in order to gain that bikini bod: confidence.
That's right! Defy society's standards and break the mold. There isn't just one type of bikini body and there isn't just one type of beautiful. As long as you are healthy, happy, and confident: you are beautiful. And don't allow anyone to tell you otherwise.
Don't let this summer get spoiled by insecurities brought on by the judgmental glances, remarks, or standards. Don't listen to society's nagging and droning on of how to be beautiful. Don't waste any more sleepless nights in search of the latest tips or tricks on how to become "better."
If you want to work out and become healthier for your own benefits, by all means go for it. But there isn't one body size that defines healthy (or beauty) and don't let your motivation for a healthier lifestyle be attributed to society's ridiculous standards.
A quote that caught my eye as I was scrolling through social media one day was one by TV personality Tyra Banks, "Never dull your shine for someone else." As I pondered this inspirational quote I realized the extent of veracity it contained.
Too many people, a huge percentage of the population, have too many insecurities pertaining to their outward appearance that are incited by society. It becomes something that eats away at us on a daily basis. Almost like an obsession. It causes us to compare ourselves to others. To realize we aren't. And to feel bad about ourselves.
This has to stop.
We cannot fully live out lives with happiness if we always compare ourselves to others--or society's image of beauty--and try to attain it or be better. Instead or wasting time worrying about that, be happy and confident in yourself. You are beautiful. And being confident in that is key. So throw on that bikini, show off your bikini body with confidence, and enjoy your summer. That is how to obtain your bikini body. And that is how to obtain happiness in yourself and in life.
Here are seven quotes to inspire you to gain confidence in your body and yourself:

3. "Don't waste your energy trying to change opinions ... do your thing, and don't care if they like it." ~Tina Fey
4. "It is confidence in our bodies, minds, and spirits that allow us to keep looking for new adventures." ~Oprah Winfrey
5. "Low self-confidence isn't a life sentence. Self-confidence can be learned, practiced, and mastered--just like any other skill. Once you master it, everything in your life will change for the better." ~Barrie Davenport
6. "I had to grow to love my body. I did not have a good self-image at first. Finally, it occurred to me, I'm either going to love me or hate me. And I chose to love myself. Then everything kind of sprung from there. Things that I thought weren't attractive became sexy. Confidence makes you sexy." ~Queen Latifah
7. "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~Mark Twain
