"The real secret to total gorgeousness is to believe in yourself, have self confidence, and try to be secure in your decisions and thoughts." — Kirsten Dunst

At one point in every girl's life, there comes a time when she struggles with her confidence. Girls are constantly struggling with their insecurities, wondering what that boy thinks about her and making sure her makeup looks good. I've been there; I have struggled with being confident in myself and I overcame it. As I've gotten older, I have realized that believing in yourself is the most important thing. It shouldn't matter what other people think of you. You should be confident enough in yourself, you should love who you are and stay true to what you believe in.

The media, the "mean girls" and that cute guy that treats you horribly won't matter in the long run, so why do we care so much about what they think? How are we supposed to want to be loved by others when we don't even love ourselves? It's easy to get wound up in worrying about other people's opinions of us, but at the end of the day, we have to realize that the people who really matter will stick with us no matter what.

I think the main problem when it comes to having a lack of confidence has to do with constantly comparing ourselves to others. We all do that thing where we wonder how we can be prettier or skinnier than the guy we like's ex-girlfriend. We look at his Twitter and see what pretty girl he's been tweeting and compare every single thing about ourselves to that girl, wondering how we can be better.

We shouldn't have to try to be better than someone else in order to be confident and proud of who we are. We should be able to wake up every morning and look at ourselves in the mirror and be happy with what we see. It doesn't matter what size you wear or how long your hair is. What's inside matters the most and we should let that inner beauty shine through.

I know how easy it is to believe that you aren't good enough because we have all been there at one point or another. Maybe you didn't score as high as you wanted on a test, or maybe you compare yourself to your friends or maybe that guy you liked didn't feel the same way about you. Those things happen to everyone, no matter how confident they seem to be.

Sometimes it's hard to wake up in the mirror, look at ourselves and be completely happy with what we see. It's like we are always thinking we could be better but when it comes down to it, we are who we are for a reason. We are who we are are there is nothing that can change that.

There is no changing what we look like or who we are inside, so why not cherish it? Embrace your natural hair, don't wear so much makeup and be comfortable in that. There is no need to put yourself down when others will try to every single day. Love who you are. Love your flaws and all of your imperfections because that is what makes you beautiful. It's what makes you, you.

Confidence is just a beautiful quality to have. Be happy about who you are, what you love and what you believe in. You were made beautifully by the creator of the universe and He doesn't make mistakes. He has a plan for your life and He made you the way you are for a reason, so delight in that. God doesn't make mistakes and I can promise you that. He loves who you are, how you look and made you the way you are for a reason.

His plan is perfect and beautiful and you should embrace that, not try to change it. Wake up every morning and be confident in who you are. Love yourself and don't let anyone change that. Let your beauty shine through and take in every second. Have goals, work to achieve them and love yourself every single day.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
