Here's What Gigi And Zayn's Baby Will Look Like, Based On Genetics

One thing can be made certain: it is going to be one good looking kid.

Here's What Gigi And Zayn's Baby Will Look Like, Based On Genetics

When word first got out that Gigi Hadid was pregnant, with the father being none other than Zayn Malik, the world just about went crazy. Now, with her due date rapidly approaching in September, there is about a month left before the world is graced with her beautiful child. As a student who has studied Genetics, I decided to use my knowledge and make my own educated and cultivated guess on the possible genetic make-up of the baby.

1. Hair Color

Gigi is known for her thick golden locks that were featured in Calvin Harris' "This is What You Came For" music video (how can we forget all the hairography!), however Zayn has a shockingly dark mop of brown hair. Therefore, I would expect the child's hair to be a blend of the two, that leans more closer to a similar coloring of its fathers, making it a medium shade of brown.

2. Eye Color

This is where things get interesting. Gigi eyes are a bright blue-green (in fact, her entire family has lighter eyes), which makes me think that she is dominant for blue-eyed gene and there would be a high probability of her child having blue eyes. However, because of Zayn's dark brown eyes, it really comes down to his genetic composition: if he is a carrier for a blue-eyed gene that was received from his parents, then there is a possibility that the baby may have blue eyes. However, if he does not possess the blue-eyed gene, then there is really very little chance of the baby having an eye color that is other than brown.

3. Height

While Zayn stands at an average male height of 5' 9", Gigi towers well above the average female at a whopping 5' 10". However, females tend to follow their mom's height, so if Gigi has a girl, I would be inclined to guess that the daughter would also be fairly tall for a female. However, if it is a boy, I would predict that it would grow to a similar height as both of them, which wouldn't make him that strikingly tall for a male.

So, there you have it: my prediction for what Gigi and Zayn's baby is going to look like. Although I had fun envisioning the genetic makeup of their child, none of us will truly know what he/she will look like until they are born. However, I think we can all agree that it is going to be a beautiful child.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
