Your parents are people too. They used to lie to their parents to go to parties, just like you once did. And maybe they knew you were lying, just like their parents did with them. But they love you, and they trust you, and they want for you to have fun so they let you go anyway.
They had their own dreams of where'd they be now, just like you have your goals of where you want to be when you're their age. Maybe they accomplished their dreams, maybe those dreams changed, or maybe they changed them for you. Just because you don't want to be where they are, be respectful of what they've accomplished- they made you after all!
They're not perfect. No one is. They get stressed and angry just like you and me. They mess up, they yell, they cry, because they're human. But they try their best, because they love you. So before you get too upset, remember your parents are people too and they're trying their best.
