It has only been about a semester and a half, but the amount of people I have met and become closer to is somewhat amazing. I consider myself an introverted person who wouldn’t leave my room unless I had class or something planned beforehand. I liked having a schedule and if something popped up out of nowhere I felt thrown off and panicked. Now though, I have been able to adjust and stay calm, and that’s because of the friends I have made.
I’m not going to lie, the majority of people I have met is because of my roommate, she has really pushed me and made me go out with new people and join organizations I never thought I would. So, I definitely thank her for that.
What amazes me the most about college and the people I find myself spending most of my time with, is that I went to high school with a majority of them. We all came from different walks of life but have joined to be a group of people that I really enjoy being around. There are so many things that change between high school and college and we don’t have to pretend to like people and we get to be with the people we want to be around.
I’m still figuring out my niche, but having people to fall back on is something I really find amazing. Everyone is so supportive and understanding of my crazy rambling that doesn’t always make sense. Also, I always know that when I’m around them, I will laugh, without a doubt. No matter how stressed or tired we are there is always someone with a quick joke or story that keeps us up. So, thank you to the friends I have made and will continue to make as college goes on, I know that there are so many more experiences to have and I can’t wait.
