College comes with a lot of stereotypes that aren't entirely untrue: frat guy, the overachiever, the weirdo, the sorority girl, the troublemakers. Which of your favorite cartoon characters fall into these categories?

Johnny Bravo

He's the frat guy who tries to hook up with every girl he sees. If you've gone to a party, Johnny Bravo has definitely tried to get to you a drink and hook up with you. He's tough and arrogant but secretly he's a virgin.

Lisa Simpson

The over achiever who is in every club and honors class the school has to offer. She has multiple scholarships and is in five different honors societies. She spends all of her time studying and looking for more things to add to her resume. She doesn't know what a social life is.

Dexter

This is the class genius who answers every question correctly with some long, overdone explanation and gets A’s on all of the exams. He knows he's smart and he knows you're jealous of him. He doesn't share his homework answers with anyone.

Arnold

He's the nice guy that everyone likes to be around. If you have a problem, you go to Arnold and he'll always be there to help you out. Maybe he's a little too nice sometimes. It amazing he hasn't snapped yet.

Ed, Edd, and Eddy

These are the class clowns who have been on academic probation all four years and have miraculously not been kicked out of school yet. They're responsible for the graffiti on the walls and the smell of weed in the garages. They're idiots but you secretly envy them for being so bold.

Clover, Alex, and Sam

The literal definition of sorority girls. These girls are at every party and wear their Greek letters everywhere they go. All the girls want to get on their good side so they can get in during recruitment.

Ash

You're not allowed to have pets in the dorms but Ash seems to be running a zoo out of his. His floor mates want to tell the RA but they're afraid he'll let his snake loose in their room. He feeds the stray cats around campus though, so you can't hate him too much.

Billy and Mandy

Mandy is the weird girl who sits in the corner and glares at everyone. People want to get to know her but they're afraid she'll kill them in their sleep. For some reason she hangs out with Billy who is living proof that they'll let anyone into college. Maybe another reason why no one wants to be around them is because of the Grim Reaper always hovering over them…

Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup

These are the really cool, chill girls who everyone is friends with. Don't let their innocence fool you, they'll kick your butt in a second and leave you on the sidewalk crying.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
