Your Crown Is Slipping

I Ain't Sorry

Being a princess isn't all it's cracked up to be. -Princess of Wales Diana

There comes a time when majority of the things you go through make no sense. Or when someone crosses you at the wrong time on the wrong day and you almost have to remind yourself that you are held to a higher standard.

Now we of course know that we are not "royalty" in the sense that we sit in a castle, on a throne giving orders; however, we are in the sense that we are the children of God and since He is the King of Kings that deems us royalty. So because of that we should carry ourselves as royalty.

Some days are harder than others and when things do not really go as planned we find every reason to find fault in ourselves.

1. Well Maybe I Wasn't Qualified. Or maybe there was someone out there that needed that thing you were in line for a bit more than you did.

We often find ourselves downing ourselves because we did not get what we wanted or someone may have looked over you once again. But I believe when we have faith that one day someone will see how much value we have they will dust you off and make sure you are where you should be.

2. I Guess I Am Not Pretty/Handsome Enough. Or maybe I should just make you stand in front of a mirror until you see otherwise.

If (s)he didn't want you then oh well, their loss, they're lost, and they lose. Let's be honest for a second, you are being looked over because they're not looking for you. God only made one special person for you and yes people may have come into your life but they're also the same ones who picked up their mess and walked right on out. So again I say: their loss, they're lost, they lose!

3. I Fail At Everything. Or maybe you should just write out how much you have actually accomplished this far in life.

Please listen -- well read closely because I am only going to say this once. If You Fail Once Get Back Up And Try Again. I have heard so many stories of individuals who had dreams to be writers, singers, doctors, professional athletes, etc. and they decided that just because one or two people had doubts or that someone said "NO" that they should quit and find something else to do. But I just say pick yourself up, dust yourself off and find another method to achieve your dreams.

Find a reason to smile, find a reason to love yourself. Especially in the face of others, just keep your smile and remember that everything works according to His plan. Never let them see you sweat. Remind yourself everyday of the love that surrounds you, and of the love you have for yourself. Oh, and pick your head up baby, your crown is slipping!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
