Senior year is among us, and that brings along senioritis. It is the most stressful, but yet, most exciting time of our lives. When I think of kicking my senior year of college's ass, I instantly think of doing it Elle Woods style. She is fierce, she is fearless, and she is determined; everything I want to be. So I figured, let's all find our inner Elle Woods, and let her tell the story of how it feels to be a senior.

1. Starting your semester off strong and with confidence.

Let's all be real, we have all said we are going to crack down each first day of the semester. Do we really? Most of the time, no. But, for tradition's sake, what is one more time gonna hurt? Who knows, we may actually do it this time.

2. Sitting in your very first senior level course.

I may not have bought the book yet and my laptop may be dead, but I brought my charm and that is enough for me.

3. Trying to finish an assignment that is due in the next 30 minutes.

You found out about the assignment 2 months ago, but you instead started it the day of and are pulling an all-nighter to finish it. If only we all could look as good as Elle Woods working at 1 in the morning.

4. When you call your parents for support during midterms and they tell you everything will be okay.

You know those calls I'm talking about. 3 AM and you are waking your mom up to tell her you are a failure and you just can't do it anymore. Those calls. And the typical, "You are almost done sweetie, just stay strong." Deep down you know they are right but in that moment it doesn't feel like it.

5. Rebuilding that self confidence, AGAIN.

At this point you are trying really hard to give yourself that pep talk to get motivated again. Sometimes it works... Sometimes it doesn't...

6. Finals week.

Elle already said enough. No further explanation needed.

7. Graduation Day.

After the long hours of studying, countless breakdowns, and the late nights of laughter with friends to distract from the real world, "We did it!" It came faster than we expected and we're happier than we could have ever imagined.

And, for all of you already graduated, this one is for you:

8. Returning to your Alma Mater every year after as an official graduate.

That feeling you get you know you've accomplished the hardest thing of your life, and you come back better and wiser because of it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
