You'll Get It When You're Ready

Be patient and trust in God's timing. It will happen if it's supposed to.

Patience can be a difficult task to master, especially when it comes to the unpredictability of timing.

Most of you can find yourselves waiting and wishing for a specific thing to take place in your life that you believe you’re ready for. More often than not, the course of events for this one thing has been well thought out. When it will happen and how it will happen has already been negotiated between the logic and reason within your own mind.

You convince yourself that this one thing is supposed to happen whenever you say so. Unfortunately, this life is ever-changing, and this specific thing will always be out of your control completely. Whatever or whoever you are waiting and wishing for, I’ve come to the conclusion that you will get it when you’re ready for it.

Personally, I don’t think we can change ourselves to be ready for this one thing that we want so badly. I believe that it is ultimately up to God’s timing and His plan for your life. Sitting around waiting for something that you don't know how, when, or if it will happen is a waste of energy and time that could be used to work on another important matter.

Wanting something that you can’t yet have is incredibly frustrating. It is easy to envy those who have what you want when you tried so hard to reach it. But don’t let yourself be envious of these people, that may be God’s plan for their life, but not for yours.

You may think that you are ready to take this specific thing on, but clearly He knows otherwise. Maybe your heart isn’t ready for it, maybe you aren’t mature enough yet, maybe there is an entirely different road for you to take.

Be patient. Don’t anxiously wait on it and don’t waste your time wishing on it. Don’t just say that you want it to happen when its supposed to, actually believe it. Trust in God’s timing, and not in your own, because you may not understand what is best for you just yet.

Be a little selfish during the time that you need to be so patient. Work on yourself, you may even become someone who you never thought you could be. Do what makes you the happiest. Whatever you do, don’t sit around being upset that this one thing hasn’t occurred in your life yet, embrace it.

Whatever you're hoping for, it may be worth the wait or it may not happen at all. But there is something I'm certain of, you will get it when God knows you are ready for it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
