O You, of Little Faith

Give God a little faith and He will show you wonders.

I have discovered this little thing that has the power to change lives. It makes Satan flee in fear. It transforms hearts. It fills empty souls. It gives hope to the lost. It mends brokenness. I am writing this blog solely to let some of my bottled up joy out in sharing this simple fact.

God is so unbelievably faithful even when we are not.

God has a plan for you, and He wants you to trust Him. As someone who revels in control, this concept is terrifying. I know I find myself questioning God's sovereignty over my life. We even see Jesus' disciples' wavering faith in Matthew 8: "And when he got into the boat, His disciples followed him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but He was asleep. And they went and woke Him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” And He said to them,“Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm."

God has the power to cease storms with a single word, to bring the dead back to life, to move mountains, and yet we still question His ability to work in us and our lives.

In Matthew 1,7 Jesus reminds us: "if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."

All that is required is a little bit of faith, and God will show you just how powerful and in control He truly is. He requires nothing in return for his faithfulness. No testing. No task to be completed. All you have to do is wake up in the morning and give Him a tiny bit of faith.

That. Is. It.

Just a whisper of, "God, I don't know what is going to happen, so let me rest in knowing that You have total control of my life and will not lead me astray. Lord, help me."

Plans go awry, mistakes are made, promises are broken, and life is just a mess. However, there is peace freely given to us by the One True King to escape the weight of this harsh world. All we have to do is give him a tiny pinch of faith, and we will then hold the ability to move mountains.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
