With everything going on in the world, both good and bad, it is hard to know where you stand. It is hard to see that your opinion could somehow matter, or that you are much bigger than what is going on around you.
However, I think it is important to realize that all of us, no matter how old, no matter what race, or gender or whatever ever else makes people different has a purpose. Our purpose could be different from someone else’s but thats what makes it unique. It is ours, it is our reason and it is our voice.
I also think people have to realize that their purpose is more than likely to bring good to others. Obviously it could be in different forms, but either way it is mostly to strive to make the world a better place. With that being said, in just a few small words, and a small but powerful statement, people need to realize that they can make the world a better place simply just by being in it.
We all (myself included) need to take a step back from the insecurities we face in our own minds each day and realize that our voice matters, our opinions matter, and our lives — all of our lives — matter. If it doesn’t feel like any of that is true just based on the small scale of people that you associate with, take a step back and think of the world, think of the brutality but also think of the good and how maybe what you say could change someone's whole day.
It is a proven fact that words of kindness can change a person. So maybe the answer is simply to be kind. But if you think there is more to it than that, say it and let your voice be heard. There are too many things to worry about in this world, and voicing your opinion should not be one of them.
Life is short but also sweet. We are not here to exist, we are here to live. We are here to make a difference. No matter if you are 17 or 27, if you are educated, or uneducated. You matter, your friends and family matter and we can all work together to make the world a better place. A more peaceful place. That is why it is so important not to hide because you are afraid people will judge you. Throughout history some of the most influential people, those that made the biggest differences, were disliked by a lot of people.
Your opinion, your voice, could change the world. You may not know it, you may not see it, but raise your voice, be proud of who you are, stand up for what you believe in. Who cares if you are judged, who cares if some do not agree? We in this world today are not in a position where passing judgment is going to fix all of our problems. Maybe, just maybe, by listening to what others have to say, we can solve them.
You make the world a better place simply by being in it.
Don’t let your purpose go to waste — whatever it is, I promise it is important.
Your opinion could change the world.
