You Know You're A Fall Baby When...
Classy Girls Wear Pearls

Fall is in full swing, even if the weather down here in Tallahassee may not feel like it all the time. I was born on November 21st and I am a Fall baby. I love fall. Everything about it. The weather, the smells, the food, the fashion, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the other seasons, winter is fun but I live in Florida so that lasts about 3 weeks and that’s during a "cold winter." Summer is great as well; I mean yeah we had the hottest day in Tallahassee this past summer with a heat index of 115. I may have passed out during rush, it's casual. Spring, again, is OK. The weather is beautiful but no season quite gets my heart to go pitter-patter as much as fall does. Maybe you identify yourself as a fall baby too (let's be friends), but maybe you're not sure. Let me help!

You know you're a fall baby when...

September 1st is your first day of fall.

Fall leaves from Michael's fill your home.

The smell of pumpkin spice latte’s (or anything pumpkin for that matter) gives you a different kind of joy… a joy you’ve been waiting months for.

In June you start putting together your “fall Inspiration” board on Pinterest.

The sound of crunching leaves under your bean boots is like music to your ears.

(being from Florida I didn’t have this luxury but I have experienced it)

You go to a pumpkin patch every year and take the same “I’m in a pumpkin patch” picture for Instagram.

You start painting or carving your pumpkins by October 5th.

You have all the Halloweentown movies on DVD.

And the theme song is stuck in your head and you don't really care.

(BTW we see you Disney Channel...)

DCOMM Halloween movies bring you back to your childhood.

"Go Twitches!"

You don’t really care that Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was on Wednesday October 3rd.

You get more of a kick out of the fact that Annie and Hallie were born on October 11th.

The Parent Trap. Lindsay Lohan's gift to us all.

You only wear sweaters, flannels, bean boots, hunter boots, riding boots, ponchos, sweater dresses… even when you know it’ll be hot by mid day.

I want this life.

You take a weekly trip to Homegoods to see what other decorations you can find.

Yessssss I need this. Yes I know I already have three other gold pumpkins... I'll have enough for my own pumpkin patch.

You have kitchen hand towels for Halloween AND Thanksgiving.

The thought of the smell of Thanksgiving dinner makes your mouth water at least twice a day.

Waking up to the Macy's Thankgiving Day Parade gets you just as excited as the season finale of Grey's...

And you only watch about the first 15 minutes of the Dog Show after.

In case you were wondering here's last years winner.

...Amazing.

The color of the trees reminds you have how blessed we are with the nature around us.

You only wear warm colors (makeup and clothing wise) all year round.

Give me that copper, orangey, warm smokey eye girl. It's 9 AM and you're slayin' already.

You were born between September and December and you cherish these three months more than your favorite fall purse.

If you identify with any of the above, you my friend, are a fall baby.

Happy fall Y'all!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
