You Are The Cristina Yang To My Meredith Grey

"You'll be my person no matter what."

You Are The Cristina Yang To My Meredith Grey

Do you have a person? As Cristina states, "If I murdered someone, she's the person I'd call to help me drag the corpse across the living room floor. She's my person." There is always a time in your life when you need someone's shoulder to cry on, when you are down and need a hug, or simply just having a bad day. I know this because my 'person' has always been there for me through the good and bad times and in sickness and in health. I honestly don't know what I'd do without my person always by my side. She is and will always be my person. As Meredith says to Cristina,

"You're my sister, you're my family, you're all I've got."

Your 'person' is the first one you call when you have good news, when you are upset or when you are in need of an inspirational speech.

My person was there in a heartbeat when I was in the hospital and made me believe that everything was going to be OK. My person isn't just my 'person', but she also acts as "Mom" and watches out for me in every situation, as I do for her. Not only does she give the best advice, but I trust her with anything. Your person knows how to cheer you up by bringing out the best dance moves anywhere at any time and blasting the music.

Even when we aren't having a dance party, we could be doing nothing and just enjoying each other's company, and feeling lucky that we have each other. You're person is always on the same team as you, and always on you're side. Wherever I am, my best friend is.

We come as a packaged deal, and talk for hours at a sleepover, about anything until 3am.

When you go out without them, you feel incomplete, like a part of you is missing.

Your person always finds the best things to make you laugh when you are having a rough day.

You're person is always on the same team as you, and always on your side. You both have confidence in each other and encourage each other to do your very best.

Once you find your person, you will be inseparable.

Your person is the one you go to when you need advice about whether something looks good on you or not. You do not leave the house if your 'person' does not approve. My person is the best advice-giver.

Even when you grow old, "your person will still be your person."

Every one needs a person, and I couldn't be more thankful to have already found mine.

-- Meredith Grey (Brianna)

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
