Living in a stigmatized society makes it harder for people to truly be who they are. If you think about it; it is almost as if we have all have a split-personality. Who we are around the people we know versus who we are in society. We walk around and we try to mask the real that's living inside of us. Fabricating our real feelings, afraid of what others might think. You might think to yourself, "I can't show my feelings, because I don't want to come off as weak. I don't want others thinking I am frail or fragile." Society categorizes anyone and everyone and in this day it's hard to really show emotion anymore. So let me honest with all of you, because honesty is key, am I right?
It is okay to not be okay.
I repeat; it is okay to not be okay. And I will say it louder for the people in the back.
It is okay to be okay and I will say it a million times. BUT...
It is not okay to bottle up your feelings. It is not okay to act like everything is perfect when it's really not. It is not okay to live a "make believe" life, because you don't want to be judged.
No one is perfect and everyone has flaws. When you bottle everything up; eventually you are going to explode. And in the end you are only hurting yourself more. It does not matter what others think, because you never know. They might be feeling the same way you do. It is okay to have bad days. You'll have good days too, but you will have bad days as well. Do not be afraid to show your emotions. Do not push people away. You're not okay for now and you know what? Thats okay, because one day darling, you are going to be okay again.
