Here's a list of the Top 10 Things that being an Odyssey writer has taught me.

1. How to Write Goodly

My grammar have got so goodly since I started write to this publication.

2. How to be Funny

Now I know how to make good content that makes people chuckle through the use of clever memes and goofy gifs. I feel like Seinfeld!

3. How to Write on a Deadline

I was "on the paper" every single year throughout high school. You know how many articles I wrote? One. And it wasn't even in the paper because I didn't revise it in time. I have never been good at writing on a deadline, but Odyssey has really helped me with that!

4. How too Spel Wirds

Since I rite wirds every week, I now no how too spel wirds.

5. How to Communicate With Today's Youth

The youth today are truly a tricky lot to connect with sometimes, but thanks to the trendy and convenient nature of Odyssey, since it's an online publication, I am able to be "on fleek" and "woke."

6. How to Edit Things

Yes, it's true. I did not know how to edit things until I became Editor-in-Chief for Odyssey. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a second draft or rewrite. Now I know why I was failing all of my English classes until I got this job!

7. How to Write Lists

I am currently writing a list. I never really liked writing lists before, but since starting with Odyssey, I have not only become quite good at making them, but I have truly come to enjoy them.

8. How to Remind My Facebook Friends That I Exist

I haven't changed my profile picture in two years and don't really post much these days, but my weekly Odyssey articles are the perfect reminders to all of my family, friends, and acquaintances that I'm still alive and functioning.

9. How to be the Boss

I have always been more of a followers than a leader, so being Editor-in-Chief and, as a result, the boss of multiple people was at first an intimidating prospect. However, I watched the animated film "Boss Baby" 83 times in a row, and after that, I felt very confident in my leadership and boss skills.

10. How to Use my Imagination

I grew up in a lab where I was forced to the nutritional labels on Ramen packages for fun; I did not know what it was to imagine or be creative. But then, I started writing for Odyssey and it was like I was REBORN. I learned how to think and create and believe. Thank you, Odyssey. Thank you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
