I have always struggled with my value and with how I see myself. I know that self-worth is a huge issue for young girls and even grown women. Sometimes, we just get in this funk in our life and we just don’t see ourselves the way we should. We get up in the mornings and we look in the mirror and see every imperfection on our face. We see the curves of our waist line and our legs. We see the way our hair falls. We see the bags under our eyes. We are our own worst critic.
There are so many scriptures in the bible that tell us our worth. These are a few of my favorite ones.
Genesis 1:27
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them”
Psalm 139:14
“I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.”
Song of Songs 4:7
“You are altogether beautiful, my darling! There is no blemish in you!”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in his time: also he has set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end.”
Proverbs 3:15-18
“She is more precious than rubies, and none of the things you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are very pleasant, and all her paths are peaceful. She is like a tree of life to those who obtain her, and everyone who grasps hold of her will be blessed.”
Proverbs 31:30
“Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”
We are worth more than rubies. Ladies, learn to love yourself. You are worth it. You’re worth far more than all the treasures of the earth.
