It's very obvious that weather all around the world is significantly different. Some places have 80 degrees weather year round- give or take some 5-degree alterations. These locations are typically near the equator or prime meridian. And of course, there are places with the opposite that has 20 degrees weather year round, with the minor 5-degree changes as well.
Locations with these temperatures would be farther from the equator and closer to the north/south poles. The location that unfortunately seems to fall in the middle of these highs and lows happens to be the Midwest. Stereotypically, you could assume that the Midwest has a nice middle ground temperature with seasonal years.
Let me stop you right there. The Midwest is like the Incredible Hulk. Calm, bright, and peaceful one moment, then chaotic and brutal the next. But don't forget the Hulk can also be green and radiant too (pun intended). Summer officially started a few days ago and it was 82 degrees here, and now today we have a grand temperature of 53. And that's quite normal here.
This past winter, it snowed maybe 4 or 5 times, but temperatures and winds made people feel like they lived with penguins. Fall in the Midwest isn't too bad, so I can't complain there. But spring, let me tell you that people here need to check the weather before they do anything, because it may be sunny where you are, but it's most likely raining at your friend's house- meaning an umbrella is necessary. In fact, it might not even be rain, sometimes it could be snow, sometimes it could be sleet.
You never know. The moral of the story is weather in the Midwest is moody. It does what it wants and strays from geographic norms big time. So, if you're planning on visiting the Midwest anytime soon, pack for all four seasons just to be safe- the weather here is monstrous.
