In the iconic Disney film High School Musical, which I am obsessed with, by the way, Gabriella expresses to Troy how she longs for things to be like Kindergarten again. Not the sticky hands, snotty noses, and learning how to tie shoes, but how kids interact with each other.
This might be a cheesy analogy, but honestly, Gabriella has a point if you think about it. Kids in Kindergarten don't care about race, gender, religion, or anything for that matter. They see a nice kid, and they want to be friends. I think our world could really learn a lesson or two from kindergarteners.
According to Buzzfeed, the little boy who is receiving all the love was out sick from school for a while, and when he returned, his fellow classmates were ecstatic and welcomed him back with loving and open arms. One of his friends even noticed his new haircut.
We live in a broken world with a lot of hate, today. But look at these kids. They have pure, unadulterated love for one another, and
It's so easy for them.
Kids are so trusting and they always see the good in people. As we grow older, we become more and more cynical. Yes, we live in a world where trusting everyone is a dangerous thing, which is actually quite sad when you think about it.
We need a lot more love in this world, and a lot fewer snap judgments, less criticism, and less prejudice.
We are all here, trying to make it in this world. Whether that be trying to survive middle and high school, find your place in college, or make a name for yourself in the professional world. Whatever you may be trying to do in this life, it would make it a whole lot easier if we all joined forces instead of constantly trying to tear each other down.
Spread a little love and happiness today,
