After my high school graduation, my worst fear was no longer heights, clowns, spiders, or thunderstorms...nothing other than the "Freshman 15."

As you start the 4 most exciting years of your life, it's important to keep yourself healthy both physically and mentally.

The best way to do that stays active and involve yourself in activities you enjoy. Whether that be weight lifting, HIIT cardio, or yoga; feeling confident in what you wear can motivate you to keep an active routine. I have the most trendy workout clothing brands for you to keep in shape this fall semester.

1. Lululemon

Lululemon started its company as a staple yoga clothing brand but soon expanded and became a leading company in the new industry of athleisure wear. It's known for its classic black "Align" leggings but it doesn't fall behind in constantly releasing new fashion-forward athleisure clothing.

Each type of legging is made to perform different activities such as yoga, running, dance, and many more. There is also a rising popularity in outerwear. Jackets, scarves, and sweatshirts have seen new releases in anticipation of the holiday season. Rapidly expanding, Lululemon ending the quarter on July 29 with total sales rising 25%, per Forbes.

It's still a small company at nearly one-tenth of Nike's size but the expansion is only beginning. Lululemon stock hit an all-time high in early September and doubled its profits last year. So don't get bored with your sport's bras and leggings because more is in the works for Lululemon.

2. Gymshark

Take 2 minutes to scroll through Instagram and I bet you will find at least one Insta-athlete wearing Gymshark. Gymshark has taken the world by storm and put a fun twist on athleisure wear. The UK brand focused solely on social media marketing and invested in popular Instagram fitness influencers.

The initial 18 influencers had a combined following of 20 million people. Something was done right in this millennial marketing strategy because Gymshark successfully TRIPLED sales from July 2017 through July 2018. My personal favorites from the company are the Energy Seamless collection and the Ombre Seamless collection.

They are both fun, stylish, and make me strive to get my workout in everyday!

3. Alo Yoga

Alo Yoga takes the cake for the most fashionable out of all of my suggestions. They adapted the term 'Yogalosophy' which is their mission to "bring yoga into the world." Not only did they bring yoga into the world but they brought it to Gigi Hadid, Ashley Benson, and Taylor Swift who are some of the many celebrities sporting the brand.

Their popular lace-up leggings give a fun twist for your next yoga class. The "Alo Interlace Leggings" retail for $108 but are raved to bring a sexy vibe to the gym.

4. Mello

I always like to acknowledge start-up companies that I'm keeping my eye on. Mello is a new athleisure company that's mission is to help you purchase "Leggings you'll have forever." Their promise is that upon purchase of a legging, they will always replace them for any reason at any time.

They call this the "Forever Promise," to replace any legging that is ripped, frayed, pill or become damaged in any way. Sounds like a good deal, right? I highly recommend to invest in their Forever Leggings that retail for $78. Visit the website at https://wearmello.com

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
