Working With God On Forgiveness

It's a cold and broken hallelujah.

Working With God On Forgiveness

Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:13

I can't say that I know what you're going through. What I can say is that I have been in the shoes of having to forgive someone. I can tell you I struggled for days. I wanted to make them hurt. I wanted to make them bleed. And honestly, I could care less if they ever knew the power of forgiveness.

Maybe you too are at that point in your life. I tell you forgive them. Do not let your stubborn heart fool you. Revenge will do nothing in your favor. Do not let your hard head convince you otherwise. Forgive them and more on I urge you to let go and let God.

Jesus said, "When you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

I remember being a little girl and asking my mom if this person had made it to Heaven. I also remember learning in these moments about repentance and accepting God in your heart. I used to be confused how such a good person could possible not make it to Heaven. I'm older now and understand.

I know a lot of Christians to be hypocrites. I know a lot of Christians that think they can get to Heaven by answering to a priest. I tell you on the day of judgement you will not answer to a priest, you will answer to God. On this day all your sins will be played like a movie before you. Every stolen lust full kiss. Every damn of creation. Every sinful thought. Not one will be overlooked and if we could count our sins they would be more than the drops in the ocean.

With this being said it begs the question, how can you expect God to forgive you when you can't forgive your brothers and sisters. I assure you your sins are greater than theirs against you. How do I know this? It's simple, you didn't die for them. They don't answer to you. It should be easy for you to forgive them.

I'm not saying that you have to become connected with this person again, I'm just saying let go and let God.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32

God says that He knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. Before we were born He set us apart and appointed us as His prophet to the nations. I know you're probably thinking that this is crazy. Why aren't their more good people in this world? My dear, because He gave us a free will. You were not created to walk aimlessly around this earth. Take this free will and use it to your advantage. No one is owning you. That's not what God is about. You were created for a great purpose, to be the shock absorbers of this earth. Do not let hate get past you. With these blows I urge you to become softer. Become more understanding and gentler than before. Be a walking example of Christ today.

Dry your eyes and become more than you thought you could be. Forgiveness is hard, I know. But it is so, so good. Be someone that little girl you once were can look up to.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
