1. You never have any plans besides work.
Every slot in your agenda is filled with a work time but you never seem to have any other plans as you’re leaving your schedule open to work more.
2. You can’t remember the last time you had a day off.
The last time you had a day off was probably two weeks ago, but somehow you haven’t even noticed. You’ve gotten so used to the hustle and bustle of life that two weeks has gone by and you haven’t even needed a break. Or so you tell yourself.
3. When you finally do have a day off, you don’t know what to do with yourself.
You are finally laying in bed on your day off but you feel like you are wasting your precious time. And before you think to text a friend and hangout since you haven’t had time in your schedule lately, you start contemplating picking up another shift first.
4. When you see your friends they call you “stranger."
You can always count on your friends to tease and make fun of you. In this case, it’s just because they miss you and wish they could spend more time with you. Appreciate this time to play catch up.
5. Your managers are randomly showing up in your dreams or you are dreaming about working.
Even when you’re sleeping your mind is still thinking about working. Or the people you work with are just appearing in your dreams because you spend so much time with them. It’s okay, this is normal. No need to be concerned (?)
6. Your managers always ask you to come in because they know you will say yes.
You are a reliable worker so you can’t blame them for wanting to ask someone they know they can count on. Your mind says no but that is never what comes out. This is probably why you can't remember the last time you had a day off. This good work ethic will pay off in the long run, I promise.
7. You keep applying for jobs.
You already have two jobs but you're looking for a little extra work to do on the side. Like a work from home job to fill in those little slots of time that you don't do anything.
8. When you call you a family member, they’re so happy to hear from you.
“Oh, honey, its so nice to hear from you, you’re always working.”
Yes, yes i am.
9. You have a love/hate relationship with work.
You’re always exhausted but you always feel successful at the end of the week when you’ve managed to survive a whole work schedule. And payday is always just motivation to keep on going. You want a break but you can’t stop the rhythm you’ve got going. Besides, its just for the summer…. right?
