Have you ever had a word in your family that only your family uses? Maybe someone in your family made up this word, or the word has a special meaning amongst your family. Well, my family has these words, and apparently, other families do too! Check out this list of words that are part of different family's dialect.

1. Roo

This word describes something that is super cute-- typically when you are describing a dog. Another variation of this word could also be used as "puppy-roo."

2. Bicky

This word is used to describe a treat or a dog biscuit.

3. Cuss a cat

This happens to be used a form of expressing frustration.

4. Kraut

"My aunt is German, so instead of cussing, she says the word "kraut!" This is basically synonymous for crap... or other forms of that word!

5. Dandy

What you call someone when you have no other word to describe what they are.

6. "Shoot a monkey"

This is another term for the "s word," and yes-- that one.

7. "Pray, tell me why"

Another way to say "Why in the world?"

8. Doogigie (doo-jig-ee)

This is used to describe a hair tie.

9. "I’m just Jayvinin’"

My great great grandfather was named Jay. He predicted everything and it usually came true and that’s where the term came from!

10. TRD

This is used when someone isn't doing what you want them to do or being a jerk.

11. Skittles

Which means someone farted... (LOL)

12. "Gee"

It replaces "yeah, right." It is a way for us to be sarcastic when we think people are lying.

13. Milt

Another way to say the word "milk."

14. Attic-attic-attic

We have three attic spaces: the attic, the attic-attic, and the attic-attic-attic. The attic is an office space. The attic-attic is the actual attic. And the attic-attic-attic is our second actual attic.

15. TV changer

Another word for the remote.

16. Kipe

This is used to describe harmless stealing between families. "My sister kiped my favorite shirt!"

17. Bullfrogging

This is used when you are just teasing/messing with someone.

18. Ugly rugby

This is used to describe someone doing something dumb in a light hearted way.
