Being Called A B**CH When You Are Really A Boss.

Are you hard-working, honest and not afraid to show it? Yep, you're a boss, not a B**ch.

So in today's stereotyping, judgmental and cruel society, being blunt if you're a female also gets chalked up to just being a bitch which is so not fair. If a woman gives a room full of of her employees a task to accomplish by a deadline she is a "bitch", but if a man does it he is the boss and strict. While I am no feminist, women all over the country are on the rise, not just in the cinema and television field but in politics, in schools and in businesses all over, that being said, while they are rising in power they are being discriminated against for being too "bitchy" and too "aggressive". When women are aggressive, determined and passionate, they are being too much, showing too much emotion.

If showing emotion is the problem why are women all over appluaded for being nurturing to children and for being sensitive to handle the more delicate situations? It seems like to me that within the whims of being emotional, it is only positive to be emotional in positive ways showing more delicate and feminine emotions, such as, happiness, love, nurture, delicacy, softness, etc. If men can be aggressive and strong minded in the work place, why can't women? If these traits make them good bosses, shouldn't it make women as well?

For Centuries, women have been raised to be "nice little girls" to do as their told and not challenge their elders and even longer ago to not challenge their superiors(often meaning men). This has since made movements of feminism and women's rights all over the world. Women are sick and tired of being told to "look pretty and keep their mouths shut." This isn't the case in every situation, like I said earlier women are starting to take over, fight for what they want and push to make more oppurtunities for other women. For example, the video of Reese Witherspoon, killing it with the phrase "Ambition is not a dirty word". She created her own production company to empower women writers and women who were writing about other amazing women who were doing outstanding things. This needs to be said that these women were never classified a "Bitch" for being strong, for being determined, for being a boss.

We need to change the script as women, change the script to being bosses and not letting others define us as being cold, cruel or bitches. It is time to change. Time to start using our mouths to fight for something more than equal and fair pay, to fight for the terms men are described as, for the respect they get when they are in power. Being a boss, Doesn't make you a bitch.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
