The Five Wisdom Tooth Reaction Videos You Need In Your Life

I spend a lot of time watching these hilarious mistakes, and these are the ones I think are the cream of the crop.

The Five Wisdom Tooth Reaction Videos You Need In Your Life

I am a connoisseur of "wisdom teeth aftermath videos." Any time I'm bored, sad, or even when I'm happy and want to be more happy, I go to YouTube and watch videos of people doing silly things. After-anesthesia clips are not the only kind of fail videos out there, either!

Some of my other favorites include, people falling off of things, live television bloopers, and (something I recently discovered) people fainting during wedding services. It is my favorite method of procrastination and has prolonged many a research paper.

So, after having proclaimed myself as a true fan of wisdom tooth horror stories, here are my absolute favorite clips that everyone should see.

1. "Can we have juice? And...fun?"

This video is one of my favorites, simply because of the juxtaposition between the two subjects. The brother, Gerard, is completely knocked out. He is just trying to suppress his pain, and becomes conscious only for sporadic moments. Kelly, on the other hand, is constantly talking and realizing how beautiful and fascinating the world is. An argument over whether or not the gauze in their mouths is really bricks also moves this video into the upper echelon of YouTube. Another element that makes this a top-notch dentist reaction is when Kelly becomes confused by the presence of the camera, and when Gerard cannot find his face.

2. "Who is she? Will you marry me?"

From the first minute when the brother (Austin) asks "Who is she?" about his sister, and then proceeds to cry when she pats his arm reassuringly, you know this video is gonna be good. Austin continues to cry throughout the video, such as when he loses a thumb war. This contributes to the theme of the fragility of the male ego as opposed to the strength of female poise. Poor Austin continues to flounder when he calls his sister a hoe and then asks her to marry him. This video also contains the classic confusion over the concept of videotaping.

3. "My nipple is numb!"

This poor girl confuses her lip with her nipple and it's all downhill from there. Emily falls asleep in the middle of a riveting story, and is horrified at the sight of her own blood. The best part, though, is when she looks at her face in the reflection of her iPhone and says "this is why I don't have a boyfriend."

4. "I'm so sorry, Mom"

This girl was trying her absolute best. She wanted to be a part of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge trend, but her mother told her she had to stay in her room after getting her wisdom teeth taken out. Like a true hero, she snuck out of her room and completed the challenge anyway, even though, as she admits, her bowl isn't a bucket.

5. "I should've brought her flowers, mom!"

Jack is my absolute favorite wisdom tooth video for so many reasons. He is so honest, and has a visceral emotional response to everything he sees. His attachment to Bruno Mars' song "When I Was Your Man" is so endearing that I want to cry watching him experience the regret of not having "taken her dancing." His insistent questioning as to why he is "leaking" is the most hilarious interpretation of crying I've ever heard, and his calling his father "Papa Bear" and asking for porridge is the sweetest thing I've ever heard someone under anesthesia say. This video is perfect and I thank Jack for having such a great imagination and bringing me so many smiles.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
