My junior year is a new year with a new mission

The time is now, August 28th was my first day of my junior year of college. Time is flying by so fast, it feels like literally yesterday I was going to Walmart to grab things for my freshman dorm, now I already have half my stuff and only need to pick up half the items.

I already declared that this year will be different, this is my grind time, time to invest myself into my college career, take my major seriously and look into internships. I'm halfway through my college career and if I want to be something in life, the time is now to start investing my time.

If you just go to school, then go home, what your you really learning? College is about experiences, meeting new people and making long lasting memories.

If you keep up with my blogs, you know that last year was not my strongest year.

My grades took a small dip because I was focused on the irrelevant issues. Now this is a new year, and I'm speaking everything into existence. I will get good grades, I will stay out of trouble and I will find a strong black man that appreciates my worth.

I feel I have my work cut out for me with my classes, but I know I can do it. I am involved in so many clubs and am on the lookout for a second job... yikes I know! This year is going to be a handful, but I believe I can do anything through Jesus Christ.

I will survive my Junior year of college by doing all my homework, disciplining myself and staying out of unnecessary drama.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
