"The Bachelor" is a popular television reality show that involves roses and 25 girls. But that’s not the reason I watch this dramatic show. Ben H’s latest journey ended, and as controversial as the show may be, it can be fun to watch as a guilty pleasure. Here are the top five reasons why I watch the show that has captured the interest of the country in this journey of love.

1. The Drama

Once you look behind the scenes closely, you can see the amount of drama that plays into the show—even some that isn’t real. There has been a lot said about the producers of the show and how they manipulate the contestants to seem or act a certain way for the audience. If you ever get bored of the show, just look for the exaggerated characterization.

2, The Dates

Say anything about "The Bachelor," but every person would want to go on their extravagant dates. From skydiving to traveling to Italy, the production knows how to appeal to a large audience. Although the group dates are extremely awkward and strange, they have just as much thought into them. But, the one-on-one dates are paradise.

3. The Love

Even though "The Bachelor" has its drawbacks, it tugs on audiences' heartstrings when you feel as if two people are actually falling in love. It’s an awkward situation when there are 25 potential people for the protagonist’s journey of love, but at the end, we feel invested into their love lives—whether justified or not.

4. The Competition

Awful as it may be, watching "The Bachelor" can seem like watching a sports game. We all have that one boy or girl we are rooting for the main character to choose in the end. Every time he or she chooses our favorites, there is weird sense of joy that we cannot place. I don’t know why we root for people we don’t even know, especially since they could be an awful person. But it makes the show fun.

5. The Aftermath

Like Sean and Catherine, who got married after their season, or Juan Pablo and Nikki, who barely even said “I love you,” there is a certain desire to know what happens to the couple after the show ends. Especially since the show’s duration is so short, it is interesting to see how people are able to fall in love or even to get to know each other. It’s kind of fun to see which direction the show goes toward.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
