HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Every year as the clock strikes midnight and the calendar marks the first moments of January 1st, we find ourselves a little more optimistic than we were just a day before.

"New Year, New Me," seems to flood our streams every-which-way we turn, and whether or not you fall into the ritual of writing down a few resolutions for the year to come, its tempting to imagine that there would be a new and improved version of yourself waiting at the end of 2018's door.

Yet, why is it that resolutions seem to always fall through? Is it the fact that the old tradition is just that, old and outdated? Or could it be that we are going about this thing entirely wrong?

Rather than actively working toward making our goals and dreams into a reality, we often find ourselves sitting back, waiting for the things which we desire most to pleasantly fall into our laps

Now I'm not talking about gaining a six pack or winning the lottery and earning a million dollars. I'm referring to the bigger players in life: happiness, success, and fulfillment.

These players seem far too complex to take into your own hands, but simply put: they are the byproducts of your hands and you can take these broad phrases and become the active coach of your own life.

The Law of Attraction. It is the basic concept that states: all things turn into things eventually. Therefore, if you choose to focus on the negative, negativity will cloud you, and if you focus on the positive, then you will be guided by a ray of sunshine.

It's a hard concept to grasp especially if you've had a history of bad, but The Law of Attraction is something that has been successfully trialed both scientifically and spiritually.

Whether we realize it or not, The Law of Attraction plays a big role in our day-to-day lives. Every second of our existence, we act as human magnets, sending out our thoughts and emotions, and being attracted to more of what we put out.

Because many of us are unware of its potential, we consequently leave our thoughts and emotions unchecked, sending out the wrong ones into our lives.

Although scary it may seem, knowing this can help you take charge of your life and free yourself from the cycle of negativity that may be trapping you.

We are the creators and controllers of our life and the energy we are all made of.

So how do we use this energy to benefit us?

Our life is like a canvas; if you don't like what you see, well then you can just change it! No matter what you are trying to achieve in life, if you hold onto an idea and see yourself in it, you can make it yours to have.

The Law of Attraction can cover several areas in life, and with the right mental thought and training, you can turn your dreams into reality.

Common Areas Covered by The Law of Attraction:

1) Manifest Love and Relationships

2) Attract Money and Wealth

3) Improve Your Mental and Physical Health

4) Increase Self Confidence and Combat Anxiety

5) Get Fit, Loose Weight, and Have a More Mindful Diet

6) Attract Success and Abundance

Now back to the resolutions. Grab a pen and a piece and paper and start writing. Not what you want, but who you want to be.

Make a dream book. Rather than writing down your resolutions, write down exactly how you want to be this time next year.

It's important to be realistic with yourself. Sure, we all want a million dollars, but what do you plan to do that will attract the success that will bring you a million dollars?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
