As the year comes to close, Christmas lights are strung, and the space under the tree begins to grow smaller and smaller, it is when we begin to realize what we are most thankful for this past year. For some, it was the new Hover Board, for others, it was a new Micheal Kors bag, for most, it was the selfie stick, for my dog, it was the opportunity to tear apart all of the paper those wonderful presents came in....But for me it was you.

Though all of these presents can bring you a moment of happiness, you gave me a whole year. Not everyone is lucky enough to experience a love that is not only pure, but exciting and spontaneous. You give me the type of love I see in movies and read about in books, and best of all, you don't even know it. I could go on and on for days about why you are my happiness but these are the best:

1. For being my Netflix and chill, no like actually chill.

You will binge watch with me all Sunday long, whether it is Prison Break or Sons of Anarchy, you have no problem letting that "Next Episode Begins in.." ride out....(except when the Eagles are on) then I just sit and whisper comments about my team until you tell me to shut up).

2. For putting up with me and always defending me.

You know how to handle me at my worst, and accept my stubbornness. You listen to me complain and I know you will always agree with how bitchy that girl was being at the party or bar last night...even though most of the time you don't remember who I'm talking about...

3. For motivating me and becoming better versions of ourselves.

We both have such strong dreams and aspirations. Though road bumps are inevitable, we know at the end of the day we have each other, and we will always be there to motivate each other whether it's at work, in the gym, or even just to believe in ourselves more - because we ourselves cannot see just how amazing and capable we are.

4. For never making me feel like an outsider.

For inviting me into your home and to your fun family parties. For letting me know that your family supports us just like we support each other. For introducing me to some people I could never forget. You make me feel like a part of something more than just you, and I thank your family for that as well.

5. For accepting that I can eat just as much if not more than you, and for sacrificing the cash in your wallet for that flaw.

For knowing that I am a hungry girl, and I will challenge you to a wing off! For stuffing your face with pizza with me on Monday and me refusing to eat anything but a salad on a Tuesday...(because I'm on a diet, duh)

6. For being my sunshine at the end of a long day.

For knocking on my door and being the smile I need to see after a day of tests and presentations, or after an argument with a roommate or friend. You are my rock, my sunshine, and I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen you without a smile. They are very contagious you know.

7. For being forgiving.

For constantly reminding me with your love, that nothing in the past can determine our future. And that through our mistakes, our love has only grown and strengthened.

8. For loving me unconditionally.

For calling me beautiful, whether we are getting ready to go out on a Friday or Saturday night, or you're cleaning my clothes and bringing me coffee and water on a Sunday morning, your love for me is strong. You do not judge me, or you at least do a good job of hiding it! Thank you for showing me I have no limits on my dreams, and for reminding me of that each day. For showing me that true love does exist. And too never take anything or anyone for granted.

9. For being you.

Because you are someone I would be lost without.
