If you are looking for a heartwarming, edge-of-your-seat kind of T.V. show, look no further; This Is Us is for you. This Is Us follows three couples, specifically five people, throughout their life showing their love and commitment to one another when life gets tough. This show has some crazy twists and turns which keep you wanting more. I would explain exactly those moments, but I don't want to write any spoilers! As the show progresses, you're introduced to the characters played by Milo Ventimiglia (Jack), Mandy Moore (Rebecca), Chrissy Metz (Kate), Justin Hartley (Kevin), and Sterling K. Brown (Randall) who with their unique personalities and character traits/quirks make memorable impressions. Each character has their own hardships they deal with: Jack and Rebecca dealing with the loss of a child, Kate dealing with her weight/body image and fear of love, Kevin wanting more out of his life, and Randall holding on to the pain of being abandoned as a baby. This show's main theme, however, is family and how important it is to be thankful and grateful to one another, even when life gets in the way. If you were a fan of Modern Family and Parenthood, this show is exactly what you are looking for.
